Ed "The Stretcher" Schwabeland
Creative Consultant, Mad Genius, and Ladies Man.

Terence Kean
(aka Pete Funk)
Pete Funk was our stalwart bass player for a time, and our only hope for street cred. Then he went to work for the man, and the man brought him down. Currently, Pete is fighting against the man, and (hopefully) winning the battle.

Jeremy "Guitar" Gilless
Current member of My Hero Zero; former member of Downtown Venus; legendary lead guitarist; has contributed lead guitar and backing vocals on a number of occasions; knows how to play every song ever written except "Eight Days A Week."

Jon Witmer
Who is this man of mystery, Jon Witmer? Let me tell you....Jon may work more hours than, say, Suge Knight spends in prison, but he's a Rocker at heart! Jon has joined us on stage before, and will undoubtedly do so again (though only after a few counseling sessions with Ms. Streisand).

A Man Called Burto
A man of passion, wit, strength, and integrity; he has shunned seclusion, and currently is performing in the local party band, No Shoes Jackson.

Greg Szczepaniak
Always lurking in the shadows, whispering strange words into our ears, praising us with beer and hugs. He has now stepped up to the mic, leading the many in ancient tunes of hard rock.

Denis Karp
'Karp is GOD!' You can find such graffiti on a number of overpasses and brick walls around Baltimore. And it's true. Put a flute in this man's hand and he is the voice of god. A rock god. And the ladies adore him.

Chuck Newgent
Former member of Downtown Venus; drums beg for him to play them (as do the women); some know him best for bleeding hands after hours of pounding on the congas.

Brian Bosworth
Former member of Downtown Venus; stalwart bass player par excellance and computer genius. Always more than happy to sit in during a completely non-predictable set; may possible have hair again.

Ron II
Ron is, obviously, a master of 70's Rock 'n' Roll! When he's not dazzling the world with his own musical project, you can usually find him at Stingers drinking a beer, listening to the music (at least, that's how we found him). We are honored to share the spotlight with Ron!

Smokin' Joe
With a pool stick in one hand, a harmonica in another, this man smokes! Smokin' Joe is always ready to assist with the harp when the need arrises. In the mean time, he'll hustle you in a game of nine ball.

Mel Ruzicka
(aka Funk E. Funk)
Master of the backbeat; Fred, or now, Funk E., has agreed to pound the skins for the All-Stars when the need arises. Praise all that's holy!

Joe Smith
Former member of Downtown Venus; among other things, has contributed guitar and backing vocals to "#41" and the legendary dramatic reading of Tor. Also known to run sound, play percussion, and whip his hair around.

Dave Marconi
Old friend of Ed Funk and amazing improvisational guitarist; he doesn't just "play" the guitar, he has an entire philosophy behind it. Listen to the wisdom in his fingers, the conviction in his strum!

Brett Taylor
Former member of Downtown Venus; the world's greatest utility man; has contributed saxophone, guitar and backing vocals on numerous occasions. Chicks dig him. But he's married, so hands off.

Ron Lewis
Another old friend of Ed Funk and musical companion of Dave Marconi; Ron has a myriad of percussion instruments at his disposal, including a Djembe that absolutely roars.

Alan Cook
Studio tech, guitarist, and musical companion of Dave Marconi; Alan is also a big fan of Tenacious D!

Shawn C. Kelley
Moody lead singer of Shadows of Doubt; contributed Drums to the Cure classic "Play For Today" on 9-24-99. Then immediately proceeded to once again become moody.

Ken Phelps
A handsome man, a man of God, and a man of sheer charisma and musical talent. Ken is the figurehead of St. Tom's House Band. We are proud to have this man in our corner.

Colin Woods
A handsome young man who attracts the ladies; contributed lead vocals to "Lady Madonna" on 7-16-99.

Dave Nachodsky
Head Engineer of Invisible Sound Studios, and sonic mastermind; The DFAll-Stars are very pleased to have worked under his gentle guidance and tutelage.

Scott Zimmerman
A very handsome man with financial genius and magic fingers. Scott has joined us on stage at Needful Things and has jammed with Al & Ed on numerous occasions.

The Hip-Hop Boyz
Straight from the streets of Canton, the Hip-Hop Boyz joined the All-Stars on stage for a Freestylin' Jam Session. They entered in true style from the rear of Needful Things, hit the stage, then went their way into the city night. You can still find them in Canton Square, just listen carefully.

Willie
This mysterious man known only as Willie joined the All-Stars on stage to sing backing vocals on some old classics and then performed a moving version of "Stairway to Heaven." The current whereabouts of Willie are unknown.

Eric of Pittsburg
Eric came to Baltimore with his girl just to have a few beers, but he left Baltimore an honorary member of the All-Stars; he brought the house down with a stirring rendition of "You Can't Always Get What You Want," then road off into the sunset.

Kristy's Brother
Ed heard the man singing the backup parts to "Kiss" from the recesses of the bar, and the rest is history. Well, history includes joining the All-Stars on stage for a rendition of "(Sitting On) The Dock of the Bay." If only we could remember his name.

Bruce
Bruce answered our call for drums, and performed with us at Rico's Deck Party. When he's not hanging out with the ladies, Bruce can be found performing with Baltimore's own Paddy's Mongrels.
